Where did the time go ?

Summer months, glass jars and Craft Fayres

Well I haven’t blogged since April – crumbs where did all that time go ??

The first few weeks after returning from my travels where rather hectic .  I did my first few spring craft fayres which were very successful and it was lovely to be find myself building up a regular customer base at Emsworth , which is such a beautiful location near the sea, Its not far for me to travel and seems a really good fit for my rather bohemian style .

I then decided to have a bit of break for the early summer months as I wanted to spend some time with family and friends plus spend a bit of time taming my rather unruly garden. I decided to give up my shelf at the Petersfield gift shop as although I really enjoyed popping in the shop and seeing all the lovely makes I found it a bit of a weight on my time and I really like to prioritise my precious “craft time” in making my bath bombs and soaps and experimenting with new ideas more than anything else.

The last few weeks have been busy again as I saw a sudden last minute rush of teachers gift bags in July . I returned as a “guest” to the Royston Craft Fayre and caught up with some old friends. I grew up in Hertfordshire and its lovely to catch when I can. In August I am retuning to Emsworth again and have been busy making lots of fresh items plus been experimenting with putting little star and heart bath bombs in little glass jars for a different approach to packing and gift ideas.

It will soon be time to start making Christmas items which is always the busiest time of year for me. Last year I sold just about everything I had well before Christmas so I have pledged to make more this year . However I only make about 4 items per batch and every batch take me about an hour so that might be a tough pledge!
